In a significant development, the Indian and Pakistani armies on Friday held a Brigade Commander level flag meeting at Chakan Da Bagh Crossing Point to discuss the implementation mechanism of the recently agreed-upon ceasefire as per understanding at the local level, officials said.
The officials told GNS that this is an important meeting after the recent DGMOs meet in which the two parties had arrived at the ceasefire understanding.
Pertinently, on February 24, the two countries reiterated to uphold the 2003 ceasefire agreement. Since then the authorities from both sides have warmed up for a possible dialogue to be held soon.
