The Academic Ranking of World Universities, alias Shanghai Ranking 2020 has given the Aligarh Muslim University fourth place among Indian universities in its recently published ranking of major world universities.

AMU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor congratulated the faculty members and students for the achievement and for their unrelenting efforts to take the university to the zenith of success.

“The AMU fraternity deserves congratulations for its resolve to take the university ahead while steadily pushing aside impediments caused by the Covid19 pandemic over the last year. It is gratifying to see the university emerge as a top-notch centre of higher learning,” the vice-chancellor said.
