Darul Uloom Waqf Deoband, Uttar Pradesh has appealed people to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
In the appeal Darul Uloom Deoband said that the vaccine is prepared by experienced doctors and scientists and people can trust it. The appeal also asserted that people should take the vaccine to protect themselves from the virus.
This comes amidst the rumours that the Covid-19 vaccine is made from pork, which is prohibited in Islam. There has been a lot of concern across the World about the authentication and certification of the vaccine.
Mufti Mohammad Sufiyan Qasmi, Mohtamim of the Islamic Seminary has advised people to drop all the misconceptions about the vaccine and said that the vaccine shots are a must to fight and control the spread of the virus.
Mufti Sufiyan Qasmi admitted that Standard Operating Procedures and Covid-19 guidelines including social distancing, masks, sanitisers should regularly be followed as a precautionary measure.
In the appeal, he said, “People should not pay any heed to any misleading information and vaccine is the only solution to get rid of the exposure of the virus, people can take this vaccine.”
Moreover, Imams of Ka’aba, the most sacred place for Muslims in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia also got the jab of Covid-19 vaccine, they too urged the Muslim community to receive it at the earliest to fight the virus.
