Dr Saandhra Sebastian, an anesthesiology resident based in New Delhi took to Instagram to share a long post mentioning the horrors and woes of working during the pandemic.
The young doctor talked about the difficulties they’ve have been amid the second wave of Covid-19.
“I’ve been telling people that their 22 year old son has died, lying to patients, telling them theek ho jaoge (All will be okay), when I know to my bones vo theek nhi honge (that he will not recover),” she wrote in the post.
The doctor urged people to follow Covid guidelines, in the last few lines of the post. “Do us a favor, I am not asking you to stay home, I understand that not everyone has the luxury to do that… Just wear your masks when you are out,” she said.
The post comes amid a massive spike of Covid-19 cases, the country recorded over 2 lakh cases for the fourth straight day on Sunday.
