“Art and humanism has no borders,”: Pakistani artists sing in solidarity with Indians as Covid-19 rattles the country

As India is battling the second wave of Covid19, few Pakistani singers including, Zeeshan Ali and Nauman Ali to stand in solidarity with India performed a profound rendition of the famous song Arziyan that has has captured the hearts of people on both sides of the border.

The video in which the group singing harmoniously together was shared by Nauman Ali on Facebook. It went viral on social media which has left people emotional.

“Art and humanism has no borders. Respect and gratitude is always here in our hearts, love and affinity,” reads the caption of his post.

The lyrics of the song were slightly modified to ‘Hosla Na Haro ye waqt Bhi Tal Jaega, Raat Jitni Ghani ho phir sawera ayega’ which has wowed people on social media.

Arziyan is one of Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s film Delhi-6’s most popular tracks. Composed by AR Rahman, Arziyan has vocals by Javed Ali and Kailash Kher. Prasoon Joshi has written the lyrics.

The post has received plenty of love-filled comments and has got thousands of likes and shares People have also admired the efforts of the singers in the comment section.

Earlier, Pakistanis had taken to Twitter to extend support to India, as the country was dealing with Oxygen crisis during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pakistani PM Imran Khan had also extended solidarity to India.
