Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, on Sunday, said that it would announce operational plans for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage soon.

“The mechanism and conditions for holding the Hajj this year will be announced later,” the state tv said, citing the Ministry of Pilgrimage.

“Health institutions in Saudi Arabia will continue to assess the situation and take all the measures to preserve the health of all mankind,” the ministry added.

Last year, only about 1,000 pilgrims from across the country were allowed to perform the annual pilgrimage to the holy sites under health precautionary measures, with strict social distancing and a complete medical team in attendance.
