Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been ranked fourth (4th) among Government Universities (General) in India in the recently released rankings for 2021 by the “India Today” magazine. AMU has also been ranked second (2nd) in the country for offering the highest number of PG Courses and third (3rd) for the highest number of patents granted during the past three years among the Government Universities in the country.

“AMU has again shown that even during these unprecedented times its faculty members and students have been collectively working towards raising its academic and research standards”, said AMU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor while congratulating the staff members and students.

“The pandemic has touched every aspect of human life and its adverse impact on higher education is being experienced globally. However, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has demonstrated its resilience and managed to ensure the continuity of teaching-learning, research, and contribution to the society and country at large,” he added.

“The AMU fraternity deserves to be congratulated on this achievement. AMU has been constantly contributing towards knowledge creation and yet again demonstrated that it is one of the best universities in the country”, said Prof Mohammed Naved Khan (Member, Committee for Ranking).
